TapFill Keyboard Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-31 · Provider: Hayden Park

The developer does not receive personal data. The keyboard does not use the internet. The app goes online only to show the ad on its Settings screen.

Data we collect

TapFill Keyboard has no account, login, developer-operated server, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. The developer does not receive personal data from the app or keyboard. The keyboard does not use the internet; the app uses it only for the ad in Settings.

Data stored on your device

Saved phrases, collections, blank values, and settings are stored only on this device in an app group container shared by the app and keyboard. They are not sent to the developer or any third party.

When restoring a backup, if you choose “Replace,” the phrases from just before the replacement are kept as one safety copy in the same on-device app group storage. In Settings › Backup, you can restore from or delete that copy; “Delete All Data” also deletes it.

If iCloud Backup or a computer backup is enabled, this data may be included like other app data. Apple handles that backup under its own terms and privacy policy.

What the keyboard processes

On the device, the keyboard reads the type of the current field (such as email or telephone) and characters immediately before the cursor. It uses them to suggest a phrase from what you have typed, undo a phrase just inserted, and fill a blank from words just typed. It does not save, log, or transmit what you type.

For “most used” sorting, the keyboard stores a phrase identifier and the time it was used for the last 180 days, up to 50 uses per phrase. It also stores the most recently chosen blank value from the list (a value filled from text you just typed is not stored), the last selected tab, and whether automatic keyboard switching is on. These records stay in the keyboard’s on-device storage.

Clipboard

The app receives clipboard text only when you press the system Paste button. Copy in the app and the Shortcuts action “Copy snippet” write to the clipboard only when you initiate them. The keyboard does not read the clipboard.

Exporting and sharing

A backup file is created only when you choose to export one. You then choose where to send it, such as Files or Mail. The destination’s privacy policy applies once the file is shared.

In-app purchases

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment and purchase history. The developer does not receive your name or payment method.

Retention and deletion

You can delete individual phrases, choose “Delete All Data” in the app’s settings, or delete the app. That removes the corresponding data from the device. The developer has no copy to retain.

Children

The app is not directed to children and does not collect information from people of any age.

Your choices and rights

Because the developer holds no personal data, there is no developer-held data to access, correct, or delete. You can view, edit, and delete on-device data directly in the app. You may contact the developer with questions.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

A small Google AdMob banner appears only at the bottom of the Settings screen. There are no ads on the keyboard, Home screen, or phrase editor, and the ad SDK is not included in the keyboard. The SDK starts when you first open Settings, not when you launch the app.

The app requests non-personalized ads and does not show the App Tracking Transparency permission prompt. To serve and count ads and prevent invalid clicks, Google may directly collect a device identifier such as the identifier for vendors, approximate location inferred from the IP address, ad views and taps, and diagnostic or performance information. The developer does not receive this information.

Google determines how long it retains this information under its policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and How Google uses information from sites or apps at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. No ad request is made if you do not open Settings. You can also turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” under iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. To report an unusual ad, tap “Report Ad” above the banner.

Changes to this policy

If a feature changes how data is handled, this page and its effective date will be updated.
