QR code generator
Your input is processed only in this browser. See the privacy policy.
How to use it
- Choose the content type and fill in its fields. The QR updates as you type.
- Leave the size and margin empty for 512 px and 4 cells. Check the encoded content, then save PNG or SVG.
- For a batch, use one item per line or select two-column CSV. Fix any row errors before downloading the ZIP or printing labels.
Examples
A site and a guest network
The starting example encodes https://kitnori.com. In Wi-Fi mode, network Cafe and password secret produce WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe;P:secret;;.
Details
The QR stores the exact content shown below the preview. A link opens its destination only when a reader scans it; this tool does not visit the address or create a short link. A saved QR has no built-in expiry, but the website it points to can change or disappear. Wi-Fi codes contain the network password in readable form, so share the image only with people who should have access.
Numeric and uppercase alphanumeric content use compact modes. Other text is encoded as UTF-8, with an encoding marker for non-ASCII characters. The smallest fitting version from 1 to 40 is selected. A version is the number of cells in the grid, not the image resolution. Raising error correction can require a larger grid, which makes each cell smaller at the same PNG size.
Keep a clear margin of at least four cells. Dark squares on a light background are the most reliable starting point; round dots, low contrast and small prints need a real scan test. SVG stays sharp when resized. Batch labels are separate from the encoded content. CSV uses a comma separator, accepts doubled quotes, and does not support multiline cells. ZIP files contain uncompressed PNGs with unique filenames.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the destination after saving?
The content is fixed in the QR image. Change the input and generate a new image, or manage a redirect on a website you control.
Are passwords or contacts uploaded?
No. Input is processed in browser memory and is not saved to local storage. A person with the QR image can read its content.
Will every phone open Wi-Fi, SMS and contacts?
Scanner support varies. Contacts use vCard 3.0 and SMS uses SMSTO. Some scanners show plain text instead of opening an app; test with the intended device.
